Butch O’Hare This is the leather name tag and
wing belonging to Butch O’Hare, who earned his MOH by shooting down
five Japanese bombers during an attack on the USS Lexington. The wing and
name tag are a one of a kind and were from his latest promotion and the spare
set he kept in his log book. They are a very unusual pattern wings. Also included with the wings area a
photo of O’Hare, a recruiting poster featuring him and a patch which is
original but likely post-war manufacture. O’Hare is the man |
