Updates-
8/18/08
I’ve been trying
to get the reference section updated with some new images and better
supporting information. This is a task
that will be ongoing, so there will be no exact updates as to which pages
have been changed unless there are some new and revealing pieces that need
attention called to them. Speaking of
which, there are some items of interest in the most recent update. There is an incredible formal
Grandadmiral baton made from paper that was made by a collector in I’ve also added
a new uniform to the Heer
General’s Uniforms section, a full uniform named to General
Dr. Barnewitz who was the AfrikaKorps medical chief on Rommel’s Korps staff. And you will find pictures of Waffen
SS General Karl Maria Demelhuber’s uniform and overcoat in the WSS General’s
uniforms page, along with the SS General Werner Lorenz formal dress
jacket, which will be on
display at this years Max show in In the Replicas For Sale area, I have one pair
of Grandadmiral shoulderboards that remains for sale from a small group of 10 that were
created. It’s an excellent replica of
the boards with incredibly detailed batons that were jeweler made from 800
real silver. 8/5/08
Many new items
are available in the Replica Insignia
section, to include new
versions of Heer and Luftwaffe
General’s breast eagles and a new
SS officers arm eagle, Police
Generals shoulderboards and collar tabs and Heer & Coastal Artillery collar
tabs. There is also an update on the status of
the replica Grandadmiral boards, which should be here this week. Additionally,there
have been a few random updates to the original militaria section in the Insignia page with various shoulderboards added. More original pieces are expected in coming
future updates. 7/29/08
There are a few
new items available in the original insignia page and there will be numerous,
regular updates over the course of the next several weeks as various medals
and insignia are photographed and listed.
The Obergruppenfuhrer Lorenz formal dress
jacket has been restored
and new pictures are finally posted of that piece in the General’s Militaria section. There will be quite a few new additions to
the Replica Insignia section in the
next few days and weeks as many new items arrive. The long awaited replicas of the Grandadmiral
shoulderboards should be
here any day. Unfortunately the
reference area has been a bit neglected lately, but there are plans to update
that soon as well. Summertime here in

page. In the replica area, I have some
new SS Officer Arm Eagles that are extremely accurate reproductions and they can be

Memorial Day More very rare
and exciting items have been added to the For Sale section of original
material, among them SS Obergruppenfuhrer Werner Lorenz’s
Formal Evening Dress Jacket, and Alfred Rosenberg’s collar tab as
Reichsminister of RMBO,
both of which can be found on the General
Officer Militaria page. Memorial Day

and excellent additional pieces of original SS insignia are now listed in the

Additionally,
there was a pair of collar tabs for Luftwaffe General of
Engineer Corps
(Leitender Fl. Chefingeniuer) posted to the General
Officer Militaria page. 5/16/08
Some very high
end original insignia has turned up, with even more available very soon. At the moment, there are four very rare
pieces available to include a pair of Reichsmarschall Hermann
Goring collar tabs, a
single Oberst-gruppenfuhrer collar tab, a single Reichsfuhrer SS collar
tab and Luftwaffe Generaloberst sleeve rank insignia. All of these can be found on the General Officer Militaria page in the For
Sale section under Original Militaria. 5/14/08
Updates were
made to the Replica section. I now
have some Oakleaves/Swords/Diamonds available, both in silver and gold. There are also two very nice, high quality Knights
Cross
reproductions. All of these can be
found in the Replica Awards and Insignia
page. 4/26/08
There was an
issue with the webhosting service recently that caused the entire site to be
down for several days (they deleted all the files and never bothered to email
me that the site was offline). This
has now been resolved, the files all uploaded again and everything is back
online. If you should notice any links
not working, please let me know. In
the meantime, I updated many reference pages.
They are some new photos of Reichsmarschall
Hermann Goring’s visor caps and car pennant in the Rare Ranks
section. There are also some new Heer
General’s uniforms that
have been posted in the Heer
General Uniform section.
Otherwise, there have been a few adjustments made here and there of no
major note, but if you should have problem viewing a page, or the photos and
captions don’t seem to make sense or line-up, just refresh your browser and it
should be okay. 3/30/08
This week there
were computer issues which resulted in the inability to retrieve all contact
info and old emails, though hopefully that will be resolved quickly. If you have not received a reply to a
recent email, please email again. And
of course if you are a ‘regular’ please drop me a quick email so that there
is a link to reply back to you. There
have been a few minor updates to the reference sections, which links will be
posted to in the next update. 2/26/08
From feedback I
received, many of you would like to continue to see updates on ‘For Sale’
items listed here, so I will again continue to do so. This week there are only a couple of new
items added to the replica section, all the original militaria has been
moving before it gets a chance to be posted on the site. As always, if there is something you are
looking for in relation to high ranks, send me an email. 2/19/08
Many new
additions have been made to the site, some very subtle and others rather
exciting. I routinely come across new reference material, both in knowledge
based info and photographs from collectors, so as time permits I am making a
concerted effort to produce worthy additions in order to continue expanding
everyone’s learning. In 2008 I hope to whip this site into shape and put a
little more meat on the bones by cleaning up some of the sections and adding
some good, enticing new information….and of course tracking down exciting new
and rare examples to share visually.
In the meantime, several new additions of note have been made to the Rare High Ranks page, to include uniforms
belonging to Adolf Hitler and Martin Bormann as well as some new insignia
examples. Also added new uniform
pictures of the Sepp Dietrich leather overcoat which was sold through this site last
year. The pictures are provided by the
new owner and depict the coat as displayed on a mannequin, which can be found
in the SS
Uniforms page. I’ve added a few
new insignia samples as well as some nice historical info to the following
pages; Heer GFM Insignia, Luft GFM Insignia, Breast
Eagles. From now on I will not be
listing an update to the ‘sale’ section of the site as the main focal point
is really to be an online reference book of sorts and I hope to focus much
more effort in that area this coming year.
There will still be ‘for sale’ items added, both original and replica,
to the appropriate sections as they become available. 10/22/07
Quite a few new
additions have been made to the reference section, after a long delay. An awesome collection of Waffen
SS Generals tunics and a Greatcoat make an appearance in the SS Generals
Uniforms section. Yet another pair
of Kaiser Wilhelm’s shoulderboards, these pair being absolutely stunning
pieces, are available to review in the GFM
Insignia page. And a nice pair of
political Gauleiter tabs are now on display in the Rare High Ranks section. Should have some more updates soon as well
as some very interesting background information on GFM insignia and batons. |
